RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the clinical outcomes of anterior cervical decompression and fusion (ACDF) surgery for the treatment of Hirayama disease (HD). METHODS: In this study, 15 patients with HD who underwent ACDF operation between March 2022 and March 2023 with complete data were retrospectively analyzed. Following the diagnosis, conservative treatment was ineffective, and thus, disease progression severely affected the quality of life (QOL) of patients. ACDF was performed in the China-Japan Friendship Hospital, and patients were regularly followed up postoperatively. The cervical range of motion (ROM), the anteroposterior and transverse diameter of the spinal cord, and their ratio was measured before and after the operation. The neurologic function of patients before and after the last follow-up was evaluated using the selected brief-Michigan Hand Questionnaire (sb-MHQ), whilst the overall therapeutic effect after the operation was evaluated using Odom's criteria. RESULTS: All patients were followed up for an average of 12 ± 4.5 (6-18) months. Dynamic X-ray displayed that the ROM of cervical vertebrae decreased from 72.73 ± 12.72° (53-97°) to 33.53° ± 10.34° (15-54°) (P < 0.001). Moreover, flexion cervical magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) performed after the operation revealed that spinal cord compression was markedly relieved, and the ratio of the anteroposterior diameter of the spinal cord to the transverse diameter increased from 0.27 ± 0.09 to 0.43 ± 0.03 (P < 0.001). At the last follow-up visit, finger extension tremor symptoms were alleviated, although they did not completely disappear. Contrastingly, muscle atrophy showed no significant improvement. Finally, the sb-MHQ score significantly increased from 17.33±1.76 preoperatively to 24.80±1.78 at the last follow-up (P<0.001). CONCLUSIONS: Our results collectively highlighted the efficacy of ACDF for the treatment of HD. This procedure can limit excessive cervical flexion and repeated compression of the spinal cord during cervical movement and considerably improve upper limb functions.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: Demineralized bone matrix (DBM) is a well-established bone graft material widely accepted by dentists and the public for its favorable osteoconductivity and osteoinductive potential. This article aimed to provide a narrative review of the current therapeutic applications and limitations of DBM in maxillofacial bone defects. STUDY SELECTION, DATA, AND SOURCES: Randomized controlled trials, prospective or retrospective clinical studies, case series and reports, and systematic reviews. MEDLINE, PubMed, and Google Scholar were searched using keywords. CONCLUSIONS: Some evidence supported the therapeutic application of DBM in periodontal intrabony defects, maxillary sinus lifts, ridge preservation, ridge augmentation, alveolar cleft repair, orthognathic surgery, and other regional maxillofacial bone defects. However, the limitations of DBM should be considered when using it, including potential low immunogenicity, instability of osteoinductive potential, handling of the graft material, and patient acceptance. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: With the increasing demand for the treatment of maxillofacial bone defects, DBM is likely to play a greater role as a promising bone graft material. Safe and effective combination treatment strategies and how to maintain a stable osteoinductive potential will be the future challenges of DBM research.

RESUMO

A brain-computer interface (BCI) serves as a direct communication channel between brain activity and external devices, typically a computer or robotic limb. Advances in technology have led to the increasing use of intracranial electrical recording or stimulation in the treatment of conditions such as epilepsy, depression, and movement disorders. This indicates that BCIs can offer clinical neurological rehabilitation for patients with disabilities and functional impairments. They also provide a means to restore consciousness and functionality for patients with sequelae from major brain diseases. Whether invasive or non-invasive, the collected cortical or deep signals can be decoded and translated for communication. This review aims to provide an overview of the advantages of endovascular BCIs compared with conventional BCIs, along with insights into the specific anatomical regions under study. Given the rapid progress, we also provide updates on ongoing clinical trials and the prospects for current research involving endovascular electrodes.

RESUMO

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and cognitive dysfunction are highly prevalent disorders worldwide. Although visual network (VN) alteration and functional-structural coupling are potential warning factors for mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in T2DM patients, the relationship between the three in T2DM without MCI is unclear. Thirty T2DM patients without MCI and twenty-nine healthy controls (HC) were prospectively enrolled. Visual components (VC) were estimated by independent component analysis (ICA). Degree centrality (DC), amplitude of low frequency fluctuation (ALFF) and fractional anisotropy (FA) were established to reflect functional and structural characteristics in these VCs respectively. Functional-structural coupling coefficients were further evaluated using combined FA and DC or ALFF. Partial correlations were performed among neuroimaging indicators and neuropsychological scores and clinical variables. Three VCs were selected using group ICA. Deteriorated DC, ALFF and DC-FA coefficients in the VC1 were observed in the T2DM group compared with the HC group, while FA and ALFF-FA coefficients in these three VCs showed no significant differences. In the T2DM group, DC in the VC1 positively correlated with 2 dimensions in the California Verbal Learning Test, including Trial 4 and Total trial 1-5. The impaired DC-FA coefficients in the VC1 markedly affected the Total perseverative responses % of the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test. These findings indicate that DC and DC-FA coefficients in VN may be potential imaging biomarkers revealing early cognitive deficits in T2DM.

RESUMO

The conjugation of chitopentaose (CHP) on ß-lactoglobulin (ßLg) via Maillard reaction was used to desensitize ßLg. The stable ßLg-CHP conjugate (ßC-4) was formed at 4 h incubation, which contains 5 CHP attached molecules and a conjugated degree of 42 %. The conjugation promoted the thermal stability and emulsifying properties of ßLg, and inhibited the immunoglobulin E (IgE) combining capacity by decreasing the content of ß-sheet in ßLg. Moreover, ßLg-CHP conjugates were imparted with anti-oxidant properties and anti-inflammatory activities. Further, the combined action of inhibited IgE combining capacity and anti-inflammatory activities improved the allergy desensitization in ßLg sensitized mice. The results showed that overexpressed IgE and inflammatory factors, unbalanced Th1-/Th2- immune cytokines were significantly attenuated after ßLg was conjugated with CHP, avoiding the inflammatory lesions in spleen and colon. Additionally, the adverse changes in gut microbiota were alleviated in ßC-4 group with a decrease of Bacteroidetes and increase of Firmicutes at phylum level and the probiotic bacteria of Lactobacillaceae was significantly improved at the family level. Thus, the conjugation of CHP can desensitize allergic reaction caused by ßLg.

RESUMO

Three previously undescribed compounds including a polyketide (1) and two lactams (2 and 3) were obtained from Tuber indicum. The structures of new findings were elucidated by HRESIMS, NMR as well as NMR and ECD calculations. Transcriptome analysis through RNA-seq revealed that compound 2 exhibits immunosuppressive activity. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages were employed as a model to explore the effect of these compounds in immunosuppressive activity. The results showed that 2 could reduce the generation of inflammatory mediators including nitric oxide (NO), reactive oxygen species (ROS), interleukin 6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS). Western blotting analysis demonstrated that 2 could suppressed the PI3K pathway by decreasing the levels of p-PI3K and p-Akt, while increasing the levels of p-PTEN. The anti-inflammatory activity of 2 was further confirmed using a zebrafish in vivo model.

RESUMO

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are aging related diseases with high incidence. Because of the correlation of incidence rate and some possible mechanisms of comorbidity, the two diseases have been studied in combination by many researchers, and even some scholars call AD type 3 diabetes. But the relationship between the two is still controversial. Methods: This study used seed-based d mapping software to conduct a meta-analysis of the whole brain resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) study, exploring the differences in amplitude low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF) and cerebral blood flow (CBF) between patients (AD or T2DM) and healthy controls (HCs), and searching for neuroimaging evidence that can explain the relationship between the two diseases. Results: The final study included 22 datasets of ALFF and 22 datasets of CBF. The results of T2DM group showed that ALFF increased in both cerebellum and left inferior temporal gyrus regions, but decreased in left middle occipital gyrus, right inferior occipital gyrus, and left anterior central gyrus regions. In the T2DM group, CBF increased in the right supplementary motor area, while decreased in the middle occipital gyrus and inferior parietal gyrus. The results of the AD group showed that the ALFF increased in the right cerebellum, right hippocampus, and right striatum, while decreased in the precuneus gyrus and right superior temporal gyrus. In the AD group, CBF in the anterior precuneus gyrus and inferior parietal gyrus decreased. Multimodal analysis within a disease showed that ALFF and CBF both decreased in the occipital lobe of the T2DM group and in the precuneus and parietal lobe of the AD group. In addition, there was a common decrease of CBF in the right middle occipital gyrus in both groups. Conclusion: Based on neuroimaging evidence, we believe that T2DM and AD are two diseases with their respective characteristics of central nervous activity and cerebral perfusion. The changes in CBF between the two diseases partially overlap, which is consistent with their respective clinical characteristics and also indicates a close relationship between them. RESUMO

Cysteine (Cys), one of essential small-molecule-based biothiols in the human body, contributes to the regulation of redox reactions and is closely associated with many physiological and pathological metabolic processes. Herein, a novel fluorescent probe, hydroxyphenyl-conjugated benzothiazole (HBT-Cys) capable of detecting Cys was constructed, where acrylate served as the recognition group and hydroxyphenyl-linked benzothiazole acted as the fluorophore. The fluorescence of the probe was negligible in the absence of Cys, and an intense blue fluorescence was observed upon addition of Cys. The Cys-sensing mechanism could be ascribed to the Cys-involved hydrolysis reaction with acrylate, leading to light up the emission at 430 nm with about 80-fold enhancement. In addition, HBT-Cys exhibited a fast response time, remarkable selectivity and low detection limit. HBT-Cys also worked well in real-time monitoring of Cys in three different food samples (wolfberry, hawthorn, and red dates). Importantly, our probe had an excellent lysosomes-targeted ability, which was successfully employed to real-time visualize the fluctuation of both exogenous and endogenous Cys in living cells and zebrafish under lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced oxidative stress. Hopefully, the work shown here provides a potent candidate for the real-time tracking of Cys fluctuations in various biological samples.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: White spot lesions (WSLs), the earliest evidence of enamel demineralization, are considered amenable to intervention to achieve a remineralized or arrested state of caries. The management of WSLs is quite challenging, and there is no definitive cure as yet. We performed a network meta-analysis to assess the efficacy of seven therapies for WSLs and gave a hierarchy of them. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We systematically searched the PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane, and Web of Science databases (last search: July 2022) to identify all relevant studies. We limited our search to studies published in English. Randomized controlled designed in vitro/clinical trials related to the efficacy of the seven therapies for WSLs were included. Data extraction was performed independently by two reviewers. The risk of bias (ROB) 2.0 tool from Cochrane and a previous in vitro methodological tool will be used for the quality assessment. Variations in quantitative light-induced fluorescence (QLF), laser fluorescence (LF), and lesions area were the primary outcome measures. Standard mean difference (SMD) was used as the effect size for the Network meta-analysis (NMA). Consistency and inconsistency tests were conducted. The hierarchy of 7 treatment effects was evaluated using surface probabilities under cumulative ranking (SUCRA). Publication bias was evaluated using a bias plot. RESULTS: Forty-two articles were included in the systematic review. Thirty-one of them, with a total of 1906 participants, were included in the network meta-analysis. The studies owned a low and moderate risk of bias. This analysis does not suffer from significant inconsistency. The difference between 4 groups 'self-assembled peptide (SAP) P11-4', 'P11-4 + Fluoride Varnish (FV)', 'Resin Infiltration (RI)', 'casein phosphor peptides-amorphous calcium fluoride phosphate (CPP-ACFP)' and the 'Control' group was found to be statistically significant. Compared to the 'FV' and 'casein phosphor peptides-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP)' groups, the 'P11-4 + FV" group and 'RI" group made a significant difference. The hierarchy was evident in the SUCRA values of 7 therapies. P11-4 + FV and RI were considered effective therapies compared to the control group or the FV group (gold standard group). CONCLUSIONS: The available evidence suggests that resin infiltration and P11-4 in combination with fluoride varnish had advantages over gold standard (FV). The effect of tricalcium phosphate-based drugs and fluoride is not very noticeable. Overall, drugs based on P11-4 and resin infiltration will be better therapies. Using more than two drugs in combination also would increase efficacy.

RESUMO

The Panxi area in Sichuan Province is the main area for the production of truffles in China, and several species of truffle are known to exist in this region. Nevertheless, it is unclear what the differences in chemical composition between the truffles are. Using an ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography quadrupole/orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry coupled with Compound Discoverer 3.0, we identified chemical components in three mainly known truffles from the Panxi region. Further analysis of chemical composition differences was conducted using principal component analysis, and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis. Note that, 78.9% of the variance was uncovered by the principal component analysis model. As a result of the orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis model, the three species of truffles (Tuber pesudohimalayense, Tuber indicum, and Tuber sinense) from Panxi were better discriminated, with R2 X, R2 Y, and Q2 being 0.821, 0.993, and 0.947, respectively. In this study, 87 components were identified. T. pesudohimalayense contained significantly higher levels of nine different compounds than the other two species. Hence, it was possible to identify similarities and differences between three species of truffles from Panxi in terms of chemical composition. This can be used as a basis for quality control.

RESUMO

Disturbance of neurovascular coupling (NVC) is suggested to be one potential mechanism in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) associated mild cognitive impairment (MCI). However, NVC evidence derived from functional magnetic resonance imaging ignores the relationship of neuronal activity with vascular injury. Twenty-seven T2DM patients without MCI and thirty healthy controls were prospectively enrolled. Brain regions with changed susceptibility detected by quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) were used as seeds for functional connectivity (FC) analysis. NVC coefficients were estimated using combined degree centrality (DC) with susceptibility or cerebral blood flow (CBF). Partial correlations between neuroimaging indicators and cognitive decline were investigated. In T2DM group, higher susceptibility values in right hippocampal gyrus (R.PHG) were found and were negatively correlated with Naming Ability of Montreal Cognitive Assessment. FC increased remarkably between R.PHG and right middle temporal gyrus (R.MTG), right calcarine gyrus (R.CAL). Both NVC coefficients (DC-QSM and DC-CBF) reduced in R.PHG and increased in R.MTG and R.CAL. Both NVC coefficients in R.PHG and R.MTG increased with the improvement of cognitive ability, especially for executive function. These demonstrated that QSM and DC-QSM coefficients can be promising biomarkers for early evaluation of cognitive decline in T2DM patients and help to better understand the mechanism of NVC.

RESUMO

In this study, we qualitatively and quantitatively characterized anthocyanins from 61 different Lonicera caerulea L. genotypes harvested from northeast China and measured their reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging activity. Among the anthocyanin extracts obtained, nine anthocyanins were identified, and the anthocyanin compositions could be divided into three classes and seven subtypes according to their numbers and distribution. Furthermore, their total content by fresh weight was ranged from 158.44 mg/100 g to 1751.44 mg/100 g across all genotypes; their hydroxyl radical scavenging activity and superoxide anion scavenging activity ranged from 13.3 %-99.9 % and 21.5 %-82.8 %, respectively. We also deployed Grey Relational Analysis to determine which anthocyanin was the key antioxidant component in the nine anthocyanins. The relation between the ROS scavenging activity and the 9 anthocyanin content was established. Our results suggest cyanidin-3,5-diglucoside has the greatest correlation to the ROS scavenging activity of the anthocyanin extractions.

RESUMO

High Fisher ratio oligopeptides (HFOPs) with molecular weight range from 100 to 800 Da derived from whey protein isolate (WPI) were used to prevent the allergic response induced by ß-lactoglobulin (ßLg) in vivo due to their anti-inflammatory activities to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) treated RAW 264.7 cells and anti-allergicproperties to anti-DNP mouse IgE sensitized RBL-2H3 cells in vitro. The results showed theoverexpressed immunoglobulin E (IgE), unbalanced Th1-/Th2-type immune cytokines and inflammatory factors in ßLg-allergic mice were significantly attenuated by oral administration of HFOPs, resulting in the prevention of inflammatory lesions in spleen and colonic histopathology. Moreover, HFOPs increased ratio of Bacteroidetes/Firmicutes at phylum level in sensitive mice, and improved the abundance of Lactobacillaceae at family level to maintain oral tolerance against ßLg and prevented allergic response. The use of HFOPs may provide a potential alternative for preventing the milk allergy induced by WPI.

RESUMO

Background: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disease with high incidence rate. Resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI), as a widely used method for studying neurodegenerative diseases, has not yet been combined with two important indicators, amplitude low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF) and cerebral blood flow (CBF), for standardized analysis of PD. Methods: In this study, we used seed-based d-mapping and permutation of subject images (SDM-PSI) software to investigate the changes in ALFF and CBF of PD patients. After obtaining the regions of PD with changes in ALFF or CBF, we conducted a multimodal analysis to identify brain regions where ALFF and CBF changed together or could not synchronize. Results: The final study included 31 eligible trials with 37 data sets. The main analysis results showed that the ALFF of the left striatum and left anterior thalamic projection decreased in PD patients, while the CBF of the right superior frontal gyrus decreased. However, the results of multimodal analysis suggested that there were no statistically significant brain regions. In addition, the decrease of ALFF in the left striatum and the decrease of CBF in the right superior frontal gyrus was correlated with the decrease in clinical cognitive scores. Conclusion: PD patients had a series of spontaneous brain activity abnormalities, mainly involving brain regions related to the striatum-thalamic-cortex circuit, and related to the clinical manifestations of PD. Among them, the left striatum and right superior frontal gyrus are more closely related to cognition. Systematic review registration: https://www.crd.york.ac.uk/ PROSPERO (CRD42023390914).

RESUMO

Aiming at the problems of single planning technology and relatively few resource types in the process of regional comprehensive energy system planning at the current stage, this paper proposes a method based on the construction of regional comprehensive energy system planning and the operation model. Through the integration of the particle swarm optimization algorithm, this method can better realize the optimization and economic operation of the regional comprehensive energy system and build a system optimization mode based on two stages of planning and operation to pursue the optimal configuration of system equipment. Through the simulation algorithm, it is found that the solution time of the traditional basic particle swarm optimization algorithm is 10.49s, while the average solution time of the particle swarm optimization system proposed in this study is 7.93s; the efficiency is increased by 24.4%, and the system operation efficiency is significantly improved, providing theoretical and technical guidance for the economic operation of the regional comprehensive energy system.

RESUMO

The impacts of natural antioxidants, including ferulic acid, diallyl sulfide, α-tocopherol, and rutin, at a level of 0.2 g/kg on lipid and protein oxidation of minced yak meat in a hydroxyl-radical-generating system were investigated, and the effectiveness was compared with synthetic antioxidant 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol (BHT). The exposure of yak meat to oxidative stress from 12 h to 24 h elevated lipid and protein oxidation. Treatments with antioxidants resulted in significantly lower peroxides, conjugated dienes, and thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances, and were also effective in retarding the formation of carbonyl groups, reducing the loss of sulfhydryl groups and protecting α-helix contents, of which ferulic acid and rutin were the most effective. Myosin heavy chain underwent lower degradation in the samples treated with ferulic acid or rutin compared with the oxidized control and other antioxidant treatments, while that of the BHT treatment showed a similar intensity with oxidized control at 24 h of oxidation. The physical stability of myofibrillar proteins in samples with antioxidants from high to low was rutin, ferulic acid, α-tocopherol, and BHT~diallyl sulfide. These results indicate that rutin and ferulic acid may be promising antioxidants in inhibiting the oxidative reactions during the processing of yak meat.

RESUMO

Due to the strong scattering of fog and the strong background noise, the signal-to-background ratio (SBR) is extremely low, which severely limits the 3D imaging capability of single-photon detector array through fog. Here, we propose an outdoor three-dimensional imaging algorithm through fog, which can separate signal photons from non-signal photons (scattering and noise photons) with SBR as low as 0.003. This is achieved by using the observation model based on multinomial distribution to compensate for the pile-up, and using dual-Gamma estimation to eliminate non-signal photons. We show that the proposed algorithm enables accurate 3D imaging of 1.4 km in the visibility of 1.7 km. Compared with the traditional algorithms, the target recovery (TR) of the reconstructed image is improved by 20.5%, and the relative average ranging error (RARE) is reduced by 28.2%. It has been successfully demonstrated for targets at different distances and imaging times. This research successfully expands the fog scattering estimation model from indoor to outdoor environment, and improves the weather adaptability of the single-photon detector array.

RESUMO

Objective: To investigate the correlation between tropomyosin (TM) and clinical characteristics of bladder cancer. In addition, the relationship between TM and immune cell infiltration in bladder cancer was further analyzed. Methods: Based on The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, the relationship between TM expression and clinicopathological features in bladder cancer was analyzed. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to evaluate the value of TM as a diagnostic marker for bladder cancer. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression was used to analyze the independent factors affecting the prognosis of patients with bladder cancer. The relationship between TM and immune cell infiltration was analyzed. Results: ROC curve showed that TPM1, TPM2, and TPM3 had significant diagnostic ability (AUC was 0.845, 0.848, and 0.873, respectively). The high expression of TPM1 and TPM2 is associated with poor overall and disease-specific survival in patients with bladder cancer (P < 0.05). Multivariate Cox analysis showed that age and TPM1 were independent prognostic factors. The expression levels of TPM1, TPM2, TPM3, and TPM4 in low grade bladder cancer were lower than those in high grade bladder cancer (P < 0.05). TPM1 and TPM2 are positively correlated with the infiltration of macrophages and NK cells in bladder cancer. TPM3 is positively associated with Th2. TPM4 is positively correlated with Th1 cells, macrophages, and neutrophils (P < 0.05). Conclusions: TPM1 and TPM2 are effective markers for the diagnosis of bladder cancer. TPM1 is an independent prognostic factor for bladder cancer. TM is also associated with the infiltration of various immune cells in bladder cancer. TM may have influenced the development of bladder cancer through immune inhibition.

RESUMO

Tilapia juvenile (Oreochromis niloticus) (mean weight 50.00 ± 10.00 g) were aqueous exposed to different concentrations of the herbicide prometryn to investigate its acute toxicity, bioaccumulation and uptake and elimination rates. First, a 96-h acute toxicity test was carried out. The resulting 96 h LC50 was 5.49 mg/L, and the 96 h LC10 was 5.02 mg/L. Then, fish were exposed to 0.55 mg/L (1/10 96 h LC50) and 0.055 mg/L (1/100 96 h LC50) of prometryn solution for 28 days, followed by 14 days of elimination in clean groundwater. The result shows that in both water and tissues, prometryn concentrations fluctuated during the exposure period, indicating that steady state was not reached. The bioaccumulation of prometryn was the highest in liver, followed by gill, muscle and blood. The accumulated concentration levels in various tissues were always higher in the high concentration compared to the low concentration. The highest accumulated concentration of prometryn in various tissues in the 0.055 mg/L treatment were for muscle: 0.136 ± 0.0616 mg/kg (1 d), liver: 3.74 ± 2.95 mg/kg (7 d), gill: 0.971 ± 1.45 mg/kg (1 d) and blood: 0.0716 ± 0.0669 mg/kg (22 d). In the 0.55 mg/L treatment, the highest levels were for muscle: 1.27 ± 0.284 mg/kg (1 d), liver: 16.9 ± 12.7 mg/kg (7 d), gill: 8.11 ± 3.02 mg/kg (1 d) and blood: 0.751 ± 0.0775 mg/kg (22 d). The highest bioconcentration factor (BCF) of 93.1 was observed in the liver when exposed to the low concentration. Besides, for other tissues, the highest BCF were for muscle: 5.76, gill: 32.3 and blood: 2.91, all observed in the 0.55 mg/L treatment. Most of the accumulated prometryn was removed from all tissues within 24 h after the organisms were transferred to clean water. However, management of using prometryn in China aquaculture should be improved to prevent possible ecotoxicological effects and ensure food safety.
